Wondrous Places Series and Tropical Primitive Series
...is a style and series of paintings Patricia has continued on and
off through out her art career and has become known for. The “Wondrous Places” have an
essence beyond what can be seen – they must be experienced. You don’t just look at these
paintings, they invite you in – to walk through the grass, climb in a banyan tree, swing
your legs from a bridge, or board an awaiting boat on the beach. Giclees and
prints available in the various sizes listed. You may also custom order
giclees in almost any size (price available upon request).

Tropical Primitive Series and Wondrous Places Series
...is a collection of non-traditional landscape paintings and
monotypes that Patricia has created while traveling in Hawaii, Bali and Southeast
Asia. “Many of the areas I like to travel to are rural and primitive and I like
my art to reflect that feeling. The monotype process gives me that primitive
look that most resembles the look of a wood-cut. “Tropical Primitives” are
only available as giclees on canvas.
You may custom order giclees in almost any size, price available on request.
Patricia’s preferred media for her original paintings is either oil on canvas or the oil
etching inks she uses to create her original monotypes on black archival paper or canvas.

What is a Giclee?
A giclee (pronounced zhee-clay)
refers to both a category of collectible fine art similar to lithographs and serigraphs, as
well as a type of digitally created fine art print.
A giclee is a high-end fine art print recognized as "the next best thing" to owning the original, or in the case of certain art created by digital artists, each giclee is an "original". Giclees can be found on display in the
world's finest museums and art galleries, often they can be hard to distinguish from originals. |
